Elisabeth (Demi Moore) enjoyed a fabulous time in the spotlight over the years, but now her time is up as the ageist producer breaks the heartbreaking news about the end of her lead fitness instructor role on the tv show. Devastated performer feels blindsided and in a moment of desperation, she decides to sign up for a sketchy drug trial to inject herself with a mysterious substance that promises to make her younger. She hopes that will help her become desired again and bring her back to stardom.
Immediately after using the treatment, as the metallic soundtrack drills into the scenes resembling embarking on a space journey, Elisabeth births Sue (Margaret Qualley), a junior version of herself. However, a strict rule to switch bodies every seven days must be followed: as one body rests and the other takes charge. This becomes risky very quickly, as Sue develops a passion for living and becomes reluctant to share the time with her senior self, effectively pushing Elisabeth out of her own life and further into the shadow at a dangerous price.
